Ingredients:


1 kg fine white burghol

Water

Salt (optional)

Instructions:


Measure out the desired amount of fine white burghol.

Rinse the burghol under cold water in a fine-mesh strainer to remove any debris.

Drain the rinsed burghol thoroughly.

In a large bowl, place the rinsed and drained burghol.

Bring water to a boil in a kettle or saucepan. The general ratio for cooking burghol is 1 part burghol to 1.5 parts water.

Once the water is boiling, pour it over the burghol in the bowl, ensuring that the burghol is fully submerged.

Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and let the burghol soak in the hot water for about 10-15 minutes. This allows the burghol to absorb the water and soften.

After the soaking time, fluff the burghol with a fork to separate the grains.

If desired, season the burghol with salt to taste.

Your fine white burghol is now ready to be served as a side dish or used as an ingredient in various recipes such as tabbouleh, salads, stuffings, or pilafs.
